Doc Martin

I started playing piano when I was 12 years old. I was 13 when I wrote my first song, and started playing sax when I was in the fifth grade. By the time I was 15, I had my own band. We were called The Tornadoes. This was in Bishop Tx. I went to The University of Tx and majored in vocal and composition.

It's hard to believe since then I have been on three major record labels being: Epic New York, RCA Free Flight Nashville and Emerald in the UK. I toured with Razzy Bailey for 10 years, Charlie McClaine and have performed numerous times with Percy Sledge.

I think probably my most memorable performance to date was with Razzy at the Washington Memorial with The Beach Boys in front of 1.5 million people. It was quite the experience! I was also a staff writer at Tree Publishing in Nashville and session leader on Ronnie McDowells The King Is Gone multi platinum. Shared in three cash box awards for independent labels with Razzy Bailey. I was a member of the band Rose Tattoo at the Boulder Station Casino in Las Vegas.

I have been in Nashville for quite a few years as a member of the band The Chessmen, and also The Nashtones. Most recently, my proudest achievement is being the co producer/ co writer and director of The Mandy Mason Project.

I believe that this is my finest accomplishment to date in my musical career. I look forward to the success of this project.
